Basic Technical Certificate Course in Pharmaceutical Science NTA Level 4
Individual who wishes to be admitted into the program offered by the institution should apply through the College Website application system. Prospective candidates who meet the entry requirement are given joining instruction by the college.
The institute selects candidates who meet the minimum entry requirements as stipulated by the curriculum. Instructions received from NACTE states that “Private training institution shall follow their respective admission procedure with the directions that all applications must be entered by each
institution into the NACTE – CAS before the application deadline(s).
MINIMUM ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
The minimum entry qualification to the candidate shall be Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with a minimum of “D” passes in four subjects; Biology and Chemistry being compulsory. Mathematics and English will be an added advantage.
The NTA Level 4 programme has a total of 40 weeks of study divided in two semesters. Twenty three (23) weeks are set aside for theoretical training and seventeen (17) weeks are designated for pharmacy practice. This level is meant to provide basic pharmaceutical sciences knowledge, skills and appropriate attitudes to students. All modules are fundamental and are intended to build students’ knowledge and skills necessary for acquiring competences appropriate for modern practice of pharmacy; instil motivation for life-long learning and good foundation for progress studies in pharmacy profession.
